A peplum dress in heavyweight lace, fully lined, with adjustable straps and a zip and hook and eye at the back. Peplum is a shape that earns its place when it is built rather than flounced: a proper peplum is cut and structured so it stands away from the hip and then returns, and heavyweight lace is what lets it do that without interfacing and bulk. The trim is a linen and cotton blend, which is a nice detail on a polyester lace. The reference is the Lace Peplum Midi Dress by self-portrait in yellow at 690 dollars. Dongguan Bafinasa Garments Co., Ltd. develops comparable lace occasion dresses on OEM and ODM terms, from lace sourcing and lining selection through peplum construction to retail or FBA ready packing. We publish this as a development reference and build your own version of it, and we do not supply the branded original or reproduce anyone else's label.

The reference publishes one row, size US 2 / UK 6 at bust 29 in, waist 24 in, hips 34 in and length 49 in. As a body measurement that is coherent for a slim frame, and it is one of the more usable rows in this batch, but it is still a single row measured on a 182 cm model, so it tells us nothing about grading and the length will sit differently on most customers. Our grade below is a proposal to be confirmed on a sample. Two practical notes: the strap adjustment is the only fit tolerance on a dress like this, so it has to work rather than just be present, and the size scale runs US and UK together to US 8 / UK 12, so if your market needs above that we would re-block rather than grade blindly.
Occasions and Styling
Suits weddings as a guest, races, formal lunches, cocktail events and garden parties. Lace is the only texture it needs, so jewellery stays simple, and the midi length is the easiest to re-wear.
Production and Quality Control
There are no customer reviews on this listing, so there is no score to quote and no complaint pattern to read. We plan from construction, and a structured lace dress has three places where it either looks expensive or does not.
The peplum is the first. A peplum that is simply a gathered frill will collapse against the hip and read as an afterthought; one that is cut and shaped will stand away and return, which is the whole point. We build the peplum in the pattern, check it on the body rather than on a hanger, and check that the edge holds its shape after the care cycle rather than flattening. The join between the peplum and the skirt is also where the dress is most likely to look bulky, so we manage the seam rather than press it flat and hope.
The lace is the second. Heavyweight lace is forgiving in some ways and unforgiving in others: it holds shape well, but every raw edge has to be dealt with, and the motifs have to be placed rather than cut at random, because a motif sliced untidily at a seam or at the hem is the detail a customer notices without being able to name. We plan motif placement in the marker, specify how the edges are finished, and test snag resistance, because lace catches on jewellery and bags and a pulled thread runs.
The third group is the fit and finish decisions. Adjustable straps are the only tolerance a dress like this has, so the sliders have to hold once set or the dress will slide down and the customer will read that as bad sizing, and the attachment points need reinforcing because they carry the dress. The back invisible zip with hook and eye has to run through lace and lining without catching, and the hook has to actually hold. Because it is fully lined, we check the lining does not peek at the hem, does not roll, and behaves the same way in water as the shell. Every bulk shipment gets a measurement report against your approved chart.
Optional upgrades include a defined lace composition and weight with testing reports, OEKO-TEX certified materials, custom lace motifs developed to your artwork, alternative peplum shapes and lengths, alternative straps and closures, alternative lining colours, length variants from knee to midi, extended sizing, colour development and private label, hangtag and care labelling.
Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
