Women's Lace Up Back Backless Bodycon Dress
When a request arrives with “women's lace up back backless bodycon dress” in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.
In production this is a lace backless dress. Lace is judged on the ground rather than the pattern: corded lace holds a bodice, soft French lace drapes, and the scalloped edge dictates where the hem can actually finish. A bodycon backless dress has negative ease, so the shell's stretch and recovery decide the fit more than the pattern does. Any seam that carries load needs a stretch stitch.
What Has To Be Specified
- Shell: Lace, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported cloth rarely matches a screen.
- Block: Bodycon bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production
Lace is judged on the ground rather than the pattern: corded lace holds a bodice, soft French lace drapes, and the scalloped edge dictates where the hem can actually finish.

Two rolls of the same colour name will not match. Buy one lot, keep a roll reference with the order, and cut the whole run from it.
Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.

Options We Can Build To
- Packing: flat-fold with tissue, hanger-ready, or individual sealed bag for glitter and bead styles.
- Sizing: a four-size test run, a standard eight-size run, or a graded run to your own spec sheet.
- Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.
- Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
