Midi French-Style Arabic Evening Dresses - Wholesale

Source:News / Time:2026-10-31

When a request arrives with فساتين السهرة فرنسية ميدي in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.

In production these are midi evening dresses in the french-style direction. A midi evening dress finishes between the knee and the ankle, and it is the length that travels best: it works for a banquet, an engagement party and a wedding guest slot without a second order. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

The French reading of an evening dress is quiet: soft structure, a defined waist, and decoration that follows the seam rather than sitting on top of it.

What Has To Be Specified

  • Length: Midi, with the finished length and the hem allowance stated in centimetres, measured on the wearer, not on the form.
  • Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
  • Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
  • Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
  • Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
  • Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
  • Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
  • Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production

A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

The hem is where a cheap build shows. A 3 cm hem with a clean catch-stitch reads expensive; a 1 cm overlocked hem reads fast fashion.

Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.

Beading is quoted per panel and bought per gram. A 15% allowance sounds generous until the third size run lands.

Options We Can Build To

  • Closure: invisible zip, exposed zip, corset lace-up or button placket, each with its own sample requirement.
  • Packing: flat-fold with tissue, hanger-ready, or individual sealed bag for glitter and bead styles.
  • Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
  • Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.

Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
