And there is a simpler way to see that the figure cannot be right: 18 inches is smaller than an adult head circumference, and a pull-on garment has to pass over one. We are not describing a very tight dress here, we are describing a number that cannot correspond to anything wearable. We would discard it and measure a sample, and we say so rather than quietly publishing a size chart built from it.

Brass and glass against dry clean only is the second thing, and it is the one we would want settled at sampling. The care instruction is dry clean only, which the fabric likely wants: 71% rayon is weak when wet and a jersey in rayon will lose shape in water.
