We have seen it often enough to treat it as a rule rather than a risk. What we would add is a caution the specification does not show: the two cloths are different fibres, polyester against nylon, and different fibres shrink and take dye differently. We would test the two together through cleaning rather than assume that because the stretch is matched, everything else is too.

The ruching is the second, and it is doing all the work on this garment. Ruching is gathered cloth, and its job here is to shape the body by controlling where fullness sits rather than by squeezing the body into a shape.
