We would not carry that classification onto your page, because a customer who buys expecting leather and receives polyester will return it and will say so, and the return reason will be your fault rather than theirs. Faux suede is a perfectly good fabric and it has real advantages over leather, including price, consistency and the fact that it does not need a tannery, but it should be sold as what it is.
Faux suede itself is the second. A suede finish is a nap, and a nap has a direction, which means every panel has to be cut the same way or the garment will read as two different colours in daylight. That is the most common fault in suede production and it is entirely a cutting room discipline. The nap also crushes: it takes a permanent mark where it has been folded or pressed, so packing matters as much as sewing, and a dress that arrives with a crushed panel cannot be put right. We set the nap direction in the marker, we press through a cloth rather than directly, and we pack flat rather than folded tight.
