Production and Quality Control
There are no customer reviews on this listing, so there is no score to quote and no complaint pattern to read. We plan from construction, and a jacquard dress with a fur hem has two unusual risks and the usual ones.
The faux fur hem is the first, and it is the part most likely to go wrong. Fur has a pile with a direction, it sheds if it is cut badly, and it is heavier than the cloth it is attached to, so a fur band that is simply sewn on will drag the hem out of level and shed on the customer's first wear. We control pile direction, specify how the band is cut and joined so the joins do not show, reinforce the attachment so it carries the weight, and test the hem after the care cycle rather than only on the finished sample. Shedding is tested as well, because a dress that leaves fur on the furniture is a complaint that arrives quickly.
Jacquard is the second. It is a structured cloth with the pattern woven in, which means it does not forgive: it frays at raw edges, it can be bulky at seams, and the pattern has to be placed rather than cut at random, because a motif sliced at a seam is the detail a customer notices without being able to name. We plan motif placement in the marker, specify the seam and edge finishes, and test how the cloth behaves in pressing, since a jacquard can go shiny under a hard iron.
Then the ordinary things. The square neckline has to sit flat with reinforced corners or it will pull round and read as a fault. The hidden back zip has to run through jacquard and lining without catching or puckering. Because it is fully lined, we check the lining does not peek at the hem, does not roll, and behaves the same way in water as the shell. The reference says dry clean only, which for a polyester dress with a faux fur hem is worth testing rather than copying, since fur and solvent do not always agree.
