The reference publishes one row, size S at bust 26 in, waist 24 in, hip 48 in and length 47 in. We show it verbatim and we would not build your chart from it: a 26 in bust with a 48 in hip is not a body measurement, and the most likely reading is a bodice measurement paired with a full skirt measurement, which is a common inconsistency in published charts. The waist is the figure that matters on a belted dress and we would measure it on a sample rather than trust a listing. Length, 47 in on a 179 cm model, is a true maxi and is the one number we would anchor to, with the caveat that it will need a heel or a hem on a shorter customer.

There are no customer reviews on this listing, so there is no score to quote and no complaint pattern to read. We plan from the construction, and a boned strapless dress in voile has a clear list of things that must be right.

The boned bodice is the first. Boning has to be specified rather than assumed: the type, how many, where they sit, the channels they run in, and how the ends are capped so they cannot work through a lightweight voile. Cheap boning buckles and then presses, and eventually it pokes, which is a complaint the customer can feel but cannot diagnose. We test the bodice on movement rather than standing, check that the top edge does not roll or gape, and check it after the care cycle, because a bone that survives the fitting room and fails the first wash is a common fault.

The belt is the second, and it is easy to treat as an accessory when it is actually structural: it is what gives a long strapless dress its shape. A belt that is too narrow will dig and roll, one that is too wide will fight the bodice, and belt loops or a channel have to be placed so the belt sits at the waist rather than sliding. We specify the belt with the dress rather than after it, check it stays where it is put, and test that the loops do not pull out of a light cloth.

Voile is the third. It is fine, it creases, and in pale prints it can be more transparent than a swatch on a table suggests, so we check opacity in the actual colourway and in daylight and we confirm whether partial lining is enough for your market. Cotton shrinks, so shrinkage is tested and controlled before bulk cutting, the pattern is compensated, and the hem is checked level after washing rather than only off the line. Print registration, batch to batch shade and colour fastness are checked, and every bulk shipment gets a measurement report against your approved chart.
