The reference publishes one row for size 2: bust 42 in, waist 59 in, hips 66 in, length 32 in, sleeve 23.5 in. We show it because it is what the retailer published, and we do not use it. A waist of 59 in and hips of 66 in alongside a 42 in bust is not a body measurement and not a coherent garment measurement either, so it is most likely a data entry error, and we are not going to guess which number is the real one. The length of 32 in is plausible for a mini on a 178 cm model and is the one figure we would anchor to, together with the sleeve. Our grade below is a proposal built from standard body measurements, and we would confirm every row against a sample before you publish it.

Production and Quality Control

There are no customer reviews on this listing, so there is no score to quote and nothing to learn from buyers. We plan from construction, and for corduroy the construction risks are specific.

Corduroy has a nap and a rib, and both have to be managed. Cut the panels without controlling the nap direction and the dress will read as two different colours down the body, which is a fault the customer sees immediately and cannot explain. We control nap direction in cutting, match the rib across panels and pockets, and check the finished garment under light rather than on a table. Brushed and ribbed cotton also abrades at the edges of cuffs, pockets and plackets, so those areas are checked for wear.

Cotton shrinks, and a shirt dress with a placket, cuffs and a hem cannot absorb shrinkage evenly. We test and control shrinkage before bulk cutting, compensate the pattern rather than discovering it later, and check that the placket and hem still sit flat after washing rather than only off the line. The partial button placket needs a clean finish and enough buttons to sit without gape; buttonholes on a ribbed cloth need to be tested so they do not stretch out.

Pockets on a shirt dress are used constantly and are the most common failure, so we size them to a real phone, reinforce the opening, and check the side seam does not bow when they are loaded. Rolled sleeves have to stay rolled without a tab that digs in. Colour fastness is tested on the shade you run, because tan and other mid tones show abrasion at the edges. Every bulk shipment gets a measurement report checked against your approved chart.
