Leather Split Sleeve Blazer

Source:News / Time:2026-11-07

When a request arrives with “leather split sleeve blazer” in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.

In production this is a long sleeves blazer. A sheath blazer is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

Long sleeves mean the cuff, the sleeve length and the armhole all have to be agreed - and on a beaded fabric the sleeve seam has to be taped so it does not pull.

What Has To Be Specified

  • Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
  • Detail: Long Sleeves. Long sleeves mean the cuff, the sleeve length and the armhole all have to be agreed - and on a beaded fabric the sleeve seam has to be taped so it does not pull.
  • Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
  • Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
  • Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
  • Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
  • Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
  • Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production

A sheath blazer is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

The first sample passes on the form and fails on a body: the waist sits high, the armhole cuts, or the sweep is 4 cm short. Fit on a real model before approving anything.

Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.

Options We Can Build To

  • Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.
  • Detail alternatives on the Long Sleeves: scaled up, reduced to a plain panel, or moved to the back for a cleaner front.
  • Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
  • Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.
  • Sizing: a four-size test run, a standard eight-size run, or a graded run to your own spec sheet.

Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
