For Women Red Backless Corset Top
When a request arrives with “for women red backless corset top” in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.
In production this is a corset bodice backless dress, cut in red. A sheath backless dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
A corset bodice is a build: boning channels, a waist tape to take the strain, and a busk or a lace-up back. The bones have to stop below the bust line or the top edge will curl out. Red is the highest-risk dye in the range: it crocks, it bleeds in cleaning, and it varies by lot. Fix the dip and stick to one dyehouse.
What Has To Be Specified
- Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Detail: Corset Bodice. A corset bodice is a build: boning channels, a waist tape to take the strain, and a busk or a lace-up back. The bones have to stop below the bust line or the top edge will curl out.
- Colour: Red, with a lab dip approved against a physical swatch under both D65 and warm indoor light.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production

Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.
Two rolls of the same colour name will not match. Buy one lot, keep a roll reference with the order, and cut the whole run from it.

Options We Can Build To
- Sizing: a four-size test run, a standard eight-size run, or a graded run to your own spec sheet.
- Detail alternatives on the Corset Bodice: scaled up, reduced to a plain panel, or moved to the back for a cleaner front.
- Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
- Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
