In production this is a backless dress. A sheath backless dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
What Has To Be Specified
- Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.

- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.
