Embroidered Mermaid Elegant Arabic Evening Dress Style with Satin Accents
Buyers searching موديل فستان سهرة سمكة مطرز راقية are usually sourcing for the Gulf market, where an evening dress is judged in a hall, at a distance, under chandelier light. That changes what the money should be spent on.
In production this is a embroidered evening dress in the elegant direction. Embroidery is a placement decision as much as a decoration one: the motif has to centre on the bodice, which means it is graded per size rather than repeated. A mermaid silhouette is fitted from the bust to just below the knee and flares from there. The knee break is the whole fitting: 3 cm either way and the dress either walks or it does not.
Elegant usually means restraint at the neckline and length at the hem, with the money spent on the fabric and the bodice construction rather than on surface decoration.
What Has To Be Specified
- Shell: Embroidered, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
- Block: Mermaid bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production
Embroidery is a placement decision as much as a decoration one: the motif has to centre on the bodice, which means it is graded per size rather than repeated.
A mermaid silhouette is fitted from the bust to just below the knee and flares from there. The knee break is the whole fitting: 3 cm either way and the dress either walks or it does not.
Two rolls of the same colour name will not match. Buy one lot, keep a roll reference with the order, and cut the whole run from it.
Beading is quoted per panel and bought per gram. A 15% allowance sounds generous until the third size run lands.
Grading is where the money disappears: every detail placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.
Options We Can Build To
- Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
- Packing: flat-fold with tissue, hanger-ready, or individual sealed bag for glitter and bead styles.
- Closure: invisible zip, exposed zip, corset lace-up or button placket, each with its own sample requirement.
- Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.
Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
