Short Taffeta Turkish Arabic Evening Dress Style with Satin Accents
When a request arrives with موديل فستان سهرة قصيرة تافتا تركية in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.
In production this is a short taffeta evening dress in the turkish direction. A short evening dress finishes above the knee and lives or dies on the hem: a 2 cm difference changes the proportion at the leg completely, and that hem is photographed more than any other part of the garment. Taffeta is crisp and it remembers. Every pin hole stays, so the sample has to be handled like the bulk will be. A ball gown carries a boned bodice and a skirt built from layers: tulle or organza over a crinoline, with the volume set by the number of layers rather than by the fabric weight.
Turkish evening wear is a fitted bodice with a very full skirt, usually in tulle or taffeta, and it is the reference most often sent to us with a photo of a bridal salon window.
What Has To Be Specified
- Shell: Taffeta, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
- Length: Short, with the finished length and the hem allowance stated in centimetres, measured on the wearer, not on the form.
- Block: Ball Gown bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production
Taffeta is crisp and it remembers. Every pin hole stays, so the sample has to be handled like the bulk will be.
A ball gown carries a boned bodice and a skirt built from layers: tulle or organza over a crinoline, with the volume set by the number of layers rather than by the fabric weight.
Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.

The hem is where a cheap build shows. A 3 cm hem with a clean catch-stitch reads expensive; a 1 cm overlocked hem reads fast fashion.
Options We Can Build To
- Closure: invisible zip, exposed zip, corset lace-up or button placket, each with its own sample requirement.
- Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.
- Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
- Packing: flat-fold with tissue, hanger-ready, or individual sealed bag for glitter and bead styles.
Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
