Short Feather Trim Luxury Arabic Evening Dress Style with Satin Accents
When a request arrives with موديل فستان سهرة قصيرة ريش فخمة in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.
In production this is a short feather trim evening dress in the luxury direction. A short evening dress finishes above the knee and lives or dies on the hem: a 2 cm difference changes the proportion at the leg completely, and that hem is photographed more than any other part of the garment. Feather trim is hand-applied and directional, and it does not survive a standard polybag. Agree the packing method with the trim, not after it. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
Luxury in this category is a construction claim more than a price claim: boned bodice, hand-finished lining, beading that does not shed, and a hem that hangs level.
What Has To Be Specified
- Shell: Feather Trim, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
- Length: Short, with the finished length and the hem allowance stated in centimetres, measured on the wearer, not on the form.
- Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production
Feather trim is hand-applied and directional, and it does not survive a standard polybag. Agree the packing method with the trim, not after it.
A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
Beading is quoted per panel and bought per gram. A 15% allowance sounds generous until the third size run lands.
The first sample passes on the form and fails on a body: the waist sits high, the armhole cuts, or the sweep is 4 cm short. Fit on a real model before approving anything.
Two rolls of the same colour name will not match. Buy one lot, keep a roll reference with the order, and cut the whole run from it.
Options We Can Build To
- Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
- Closure: invisible zip, exposed zip, corset lace-up or button placket, each with its own sample requirement.
- Closure: invisible zip, exposed zip, corset lace-up or button placket, each with its own sample requirement.
- Sizing: a four-size test run, a standard eight-size run, or a graded run to your own spec sheet.
Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
