Luxury Arabic Evening Dresses with a High Slit
When a request arrives with فساتين سهرة فتحة جانبية فخمة in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.
In production these are high slit evening dresses in the luxury direction. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
A high slit needs a faced placket and a bar-tack at the stop point. Without the tack, the slit splits past the stop within a season. Luxury in this category is a construction claim more than a price claim: boned bodice, hand-finished lining, beading that does not shed, and a hem that hangs level.
What Has To Be Specified
- Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Detail: High Slit. A high slit needs a faced placket and a bar-tack at the stop point. Without the tack, the slit splits past the stop within a season.
- Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.

The hem is where a cheap build shows. A 3 cm hem with a clean catch-stitch reads expensive; a 1 cm overlocked hem reads fast fashion.
Options We Can Build To
- Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.
- Detail alternatives on the High Slit: scaled up, reduced to a plain panel, or moved to the back for a cleaner front.
- Sizing: a four-size test run, a standard eight-size run, or a graded run to your own spec sheet.
