Arabic Evening Dresses with Pleats in Burgundy or Wine
فساتين سهرة بليسيه لون عنابي translates roughly to "evening dress". In production terms it is a set of decisions rather than a single garment, which is exactly why it is worth specifying properly before the sample is cut.
In production these are pleated evening dresses, cut in burgundy. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
Knife pleats have to be set with heat and stitched down before packing, or they arrive as soft folds and the skirt loses its sweep. Burgundy hides construction and shows lint. Plan a roller and a covered bag into the packing line.
What Has To Be Specified
- Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Detail: Pleated. Knife pleats have to be set with heat and stitched down before packing, or they arrive as soft folds and the skirt loses its sweep.
- Colour: Burgundy, with a lab dip approved against a physical swatch under both D65 and warm indoor light.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production
A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
Knife pleats have to be set with heat and stitched down before packing, or they arrive as soft folds and the skirt loses its sweep.
The hem is where a cheap build shows. A 3 cm hem with a clean catch-stitch reads expensive; a 1 cm overlocked hem reads fast fashion.
Grading is where the money disappears: every detail placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.

Options We Can Build To
- Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
- Detail alternatives on the Pleated: scaled up, reduced to a plain panel, or moved to the back for a cleaner front.
- Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
- Closure: invisible zip, exposed zip, corset lace-up or button placket, each with its own sample requirement.

Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
