Arabic Evening Dresses with an Off-Shoulder Neckline in Olive or Emerald

فساتين سهرة أوف شولدر لون اخضر زيتي translates roughly to "evening dress". In production terms it is a set of decisions rather than a single garment, which is exactly why it is worth specifying properly before the sample is cut.

In production these are off-shoulder evening dresses, cut in olive. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

An off-shoulder band has to be cut on the bias and held with elastic or a stay; a straight-cut band will gape the moment the wearer lifts her arms. Olive photographs darker than it reads in the hand. Light it properly before you approve the beading colour.

What Has To Be Specified

• Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
• Detail: Off-Shoulder. An off-shoulder band has to be cut on the bias and held with elastic or a stay; a straight-cut band will gape the moment the wearer lifts her arms.
• Colour: Olive, with a lab dip approved against a physical swatch under both D65 and warm indoor light.
• Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
• Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
• Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
• Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
• Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production

Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.

Grading is where the money disappears: every detail placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.

Two rolls of the same colour name will not match. Buy one lot, keep a roll reference with the order, and cut the whole run from it.
