Velvet Arabic Evening Dress in White

Source:News / Time:2026-10-31

Buyers searching فستان سهرة قطيفة ابيض are usually sourcing for the Gulf market, where an evening dress is judged in a hall, at a distance, under chandelier light. That changes what the money should be spent on.

In production this is a velvet evening dress, cut in white. Velvet has a nap. Mark every panel and never mix directions, or the dress photographs two-tone - and it can only be pressed on a velvet board. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

White evening dresses sit close to bridal, so specify the exact white (optical, ivory, cream) and warn the buyer about optical brighteners.

What Has To Be Specified

  • Shell: Velvet, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
  • Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
  • Colour: White, with a lab dip approved against a physical swatch under both D65 and warm indoor light.
  • Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
  • Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
  • Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
  • Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
  • Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production

Velvet has a nap. Mark every panel and never mix directions, or the dress photographs two-tone - and it can only be pressed on a velvet board.

A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.

The first sample passes on the form and fails on a body: the waist sits high, the armhole cuts, or the sweep is 4 cm short. Fit on a real model before approving anything.

Two rolls of the same colour name will not match. Buy one lot, keep a roll reference with the order, and cut the whole run from it.

Options We Can Build To
