Tulle Arabic Evening Dress in Navy or Blue with Satin Accents
Buyers searching فستان سهرة تل كحلي are usually sourcing for the Gulf market, where an evening dress is judged in a hall, at a distance, under chandelier light. That changes what the money should be spent on.
In production this is a tulle evening dress, cut in navy. Tulle volume comes from layers, not from weight. Every tulle edge that touches skin needs a soft binding, or the dress is unwearable after an hour. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
Navy is the workhorse of the category: it flatters, it photographs cleanly, and it hides a slightly uneven beading density better than black.
What Has To Be Specified
- Shell: Tulle, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
- Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Colour: Navy, with a lab dip approved against a physical swatch under both D65 and warm indoor light.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production
Tulle volume comes from layers, not from weight. Every tulle edge that touches skin needs a soft binding, or the dress is unwearable after an hour.
A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
Two rolls of the same colour name will not match. Buy one lot, keep a roll reference with the order, and cut the whole run from it.
Grading is where the money disappears: every detail placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.
The hem is where a cheap build shows. A 3 cm hem with a clean catch-stitch reads expensive; a 1 cm overlocked hem reads fast fashion.
Options We Can Build To
- Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
- Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
- Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
- Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.
Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
