Sequin Arabic Evening Dress in Burgundy or Wine with Satin Accents
When a request arrives with فستان سهرة ترتر عنابي in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.
In production this is a sequin evening dress, cut in burgundy. Sequin fabric is a mesh base with the sequin applied, so it has a direction and a nap. Every panel must be cut the same way, and every seam has to be taped or it will ladder. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
Burgundy hides construction and shows lint. Plan a roller and a covered bag into the packing line.
What Has To Be Specified
- Shell: Sequin, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
- Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Colour: Burgundy, with a lab dip approved against a physical swatch under both D65 and warm indoor light.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production
Sequin fabric is a mesh base with the sequin applied, so it has a direction and a nap. Every panel must be cut the same way, and every seam has to be taped or it will ladder.
A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
The hem is where a cheap build shows. A 3 cm hem with a clean catch-stitch reads expensive; a 1 cm overlocked hem reads fast fashion.
Grading is where the money disappears: every detail placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.
Beading is quoted per panel and bought per gram. A 15% allowance sounds generous until the third size run lands.
Options We Can Build To
- Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
- Sizing: a four-size test run, a standard eight-size run, or a graded run to your own spec sheet.
- Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
- Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.
Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
