In production these are evening dresses, cut in sky blue. An A-line evening dress clears the hip and falls from the bust or the waist. It is the most forgiving block in the range and the easiest to grade from a 2XL up to a 5XL.

Sky blue and baby blue read cool on camera and warm under tungsten, so the lab dip has to be checked in both lights before the bulk is dyed.

What Has To Be Specified

• Block: A-Line bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
• Colour: Sky Blue, with a lab dip approved against a physical swatch under both D65 and warm indoor light.
• Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
• Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
• Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
• Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
• Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Two rolls of the same colour name will not match. Buy one lot, keep a roll reference with the order, and cut the whole run from it.
