فساتين السهرة طويلة سماوي translates roughly to "long evening dress". In production terms it is a set of decisions rather than a single garment, which is exactly why it is worth specifying properly before the sample is cut.

In production these are long evening dresses, cut in sky blue. A long evening dress runs to the ankle or the floor, which makes sweep and hem finish the design. A floor-length hem needs a horsehair or a weighted tape, or it will collapse in wear. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

• Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
• Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
• Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
• Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.
