Short Satin Arabic Evening Dress in Olive or Emerald

Source:News / Time:2026-10-31

فستان سهرة قصيرة اخضر زيتي translates roughly to "short satin evening dress". In production terms it is a set of decisions rather than a single garment, which is exactly why it is worth specifying properly before the sample is cut.

In production this is a short satin evening dress, cut in olive. A short evening dress finishes above the knee and lives or dies on the hem: a 2 cm difference changes the proportion at the leg completely, and that hem is photographed more than any other part of the garment. Satin shows every needle mark and every bubble at the seam. Use a fine needle, a soft press cloth, and hang the dress for 24 hours before the final measurement. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

Olive photographs darker than it reads in the hand. Light it properly before you approve the beading colour.

What Has To Be Specified

  • Shell: Satin, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
  • Length: Short, with the finished length and the hem allowance stated in centimetres, measured on the wearer, not on the form.
  • Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
  • Colour: Olive, with a lab dip approved against a physical swatch under both D65 and warm indoor light.
  • Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
  • Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
  • Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
  • Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
  • Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production

Satin shows every needle mark and every bubble at the seam. Use a fine needle, a soft press cloth, and hang the dress for 24 hours before the final measurement.

A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

Beading is quoted per panel and bought per gram. A 15% allowance sounds generous until the third size run lands.

Grading is where the money disappears: every detail placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.

Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.

Options We Can Build To

  • Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
  • Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
  • Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
  • Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.

Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
