In production this is a satin evening dress. Satin shows every needle mark and every bubble at the seam. Use a fine needle, a soft press cloth, and hang the dress for 24 hours before the final measurement. What Has To Be Specified

• Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
• Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
• Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
• Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
• Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
• Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
• Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.
