فساتين السهرة راقية لسهرة خاصة translates roughly to "elegant evening dress". In production terms it is a set of decisions rather than a single garment, which is exactly why it is worth specifying properly before the sample is cut.

In production these are evening dresses in the elegant direction. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

Elegant usually means restraint at the neckline and length at the hem, with the money spent on the fabric and the bodice construction rather than on surface decoration.

What Has To Be Specified

• Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
• Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
• Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
• Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
• Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
• Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
• Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.

Beading is quoted per panel and bought per gram. A 15% allowance sounds generous until the third size run lands.

Grading is where the money disappears: every detail placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.
