Mermaid Arabic Evening Dresses for Engagement

Source:News / Time:2026-10-31

The Arabic search phrase فساتين السهرة سمكة للخطوبة is the kind of query that lands in a factory inbox with a screenshot and a price, and nothing else. Unpacked, it names a length, a cloth and a finish - and those three decisions fix most of the cost before a single sample is cut.

In production these are evening dresses. A mermaid silhouette is fitted from the bust to just below the knee and flares from there. The knee break is the whole fitting: 3 cm either way and the dress either walks or it does not.

An engagement (katb ktab) dress sits between evening wear and bridal: covered enough for a family hall, decorated enough for the photographs.

What Has To Be Specified

  • Block: Mermaid bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
  • Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
  • Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
  • Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
  • Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
  • Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
  • Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production

A mermaid silhouette is fitted from the bust to just below the knee and flares from there. The knee break is the whole fitting: 3 cm either way and the dress either walks or it does not.

Grading is where the money disappears: every detail placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.

Beading is quoted per panel and bought per gram. A 15% allowance sounds generous until the third size run lands.

Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.

Options We Can Build To

  • Packing: flat-fold with tissue, hanger-ready, or individual sealed bag for glitter and bead styles.
  • Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.
  • Sizing: a four-size test run, a standard eight-size run, or a graded run to your own spec sheet.
  • Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.

Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
