Midi Feather Trim Arabic Evening Dresses
When a request arrives with فساتين السهرة ريش ميدي in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.
In production these are midi feather trim evening dresses. A midi evening dress finishes between the knee and the ankle, and it is the length that travels best: it works for a banquet, an engagement party and a wedding guest slot without a second order. Feather trim is hand-applied and directional, and it does not survive a standard polybag. Agree the packing method with the trim, not after it. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.
What Has To Be Specified
- Shell: Feather Trim, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
- Length: Midi, with the finished length and the hem allowance stated in centimetres, measured on the wearer, not on the form.
- Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production

Pressing decides the finish. Satin and taffeta take a needle mark in a second, and no amount of QC takes it out afterwards.

Grading is where the money disappears: every detail placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.
Options We Can Build To
- Sizing: a four-size test run, a standard eight-size run, or a graded run to your own spec sheet.

- Closure: invisible zip, exposed zip, corset lace-up or button placket, each with its own sample requirement.
- Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
