Silk Arabic Evening Dress in Silver with Satin Accents

Source:News / Time:2026-10-31

When a request arrives with فستان سهرة حرير فضي in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.

In production this is a silk evening dress, cut in silver. Silk gives the drape and the sheen, and it brings the QC problems with it: it water-spots, it slips under the needle, and it needs a cool press. A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

Silver beading tarnishes. Specify an anti-tarnish finish and a sealed bag, or the stock will look used before it is sold.

What Has To Be Specified

  • Shell: Silk, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
  • Block: Sheath bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
  • Colour: Silver, with a lab dip approved against a physical swatch under both D65 and warm indoor light.
  • Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
  • Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
  • Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
  • Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
  • Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production

Silk gives the drape and the sheen, and it brings the QC problems with it: it water-spots, it slips under the needle, and it needs a cool press.

A sheath evening dress is straight and close, with a walking vent at the back and a lining that has to be cut a few millimetres shorter than the shell so it does not hang below the hem.

The hem is where a cheap build shows. A 3 cm hem with a clean catch-stitch reads expensive; a 1 cm overlocked hem reads fast fashion.

Grading is where the money disappears: every detail placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.

Options We Can Build To

  • Closure: invisible zip, exposed zip, corset lace-up or button placket, each with its own sample requirement.
  • Packing: flat-fold with tissue, hanger-ready, or individual sealed bag for glitter and bead styles.
  • Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
  • Sizing: a four-size test run, a standard eight-size run, or a graded run to your own spec sheet.

Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
