Catalogue of Taffeta Bodycon Modern Arabic Evening Dresses - Wholesale
When a request arrives with كتالوج فساتين سهرة مودرن تافتا ضيقة in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.
In production these are taffeta evening dresses in the modern direction. Taffeta is crisp and it remembers. Every pin hole stays, so the sample has to be handled like the bulk will be. A bodycon evening dress has negative ease, so the shell's stretch and recovery decide the fit more than the pattern does. Any seam that carries load needs a stretch stitch.
The modern reading is architectural: fewer trims, sharper seaming, and a print or a texture doing the work that beading used to do.
What Has To Be Specified
- Shell: Taffeta, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
- Block: Bodycon bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production
Taffeta is crisp and it remembers. Every pin hole stays, so the sample has to be handled like the bulk will be.
A bodycon evening dress has negative ease, so the shell's stretch and recovery decide the fit more than the pattern does. Any seam that carries load needs a stretch stitch.
Grading is where the money disappears: every detail placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.
The first sample passes on the form and fails on a body: the waist sits high, the armhole cuts, or the sweep is 4 cm short. Fit on a real model before approving anything.
The hem is where a cheap build shows. A 3 cm hem with a clean catch-stitch reads expensive; a 1 cm overlocked hem reads fast fashion.
Options We Can Build To
- Packing: flat-fold with tissue, hanger-ready, or individual sealed bag for glitter and bead styles.
- Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
- Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.
- Sizing: a four-size test run, a standard eight-size run, or a graded run to your own spec sheet.
Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
