Catalogue of Embroidered Mermaid Soft Arabic Evening Dresses
When a request arrives with كتالوج فساتين سهرة ناعمة مطرز سمكة in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.
In production these are embroidered evening dresses in the soft direction. Embroidery is a placement decision as much as a decoration one: the motif has to centre on the bodice, which means it is graded per size rather than repeated. A mermaid silhouette is fitted from the bust to just below the knee and flares from there. The knee break is the whole fitting: 3 cm either way and the dress either walks or it does not.
Soft styling favours drape over structure - gathered bodices, fluid skirts and decoration that follows the body instead of standing away from it.
What Has To Be Specified
- Shell: Embroidered, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
- Block: Mermaid bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production
Embroidery is a placement decision as much as a decoration one: the motif has to centre on the bodice, which means it is graded per size rather than repeated.
A mermaid silhouette is fitted from the bust to just below the knee and flares from there. The knee break is the whole fitting: 3 cm either way and the dress either walks or it does not.
The first sample passes on the form and fails on a body: the waist sits high, the armhole cuts, or the sweep is 4 cm short. Fit on a real model before approving anything.

The hem is where a cheap build shows. A 3 cm hem with a clean catch-stitch reads expensive; a 1 cm overlocked hem reads fast fashion.
Options We Can Build To
- Packing: flat-fold with tissue, hanger-ready, or individual sealed bag for glitter and bead styles.
- Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
- Closure: invisible zip, exposed zip, corset lace-up or button placket, each with its own sample requirement.
- Lining: unlined bodice with a lined skirt, half-lined, or fully lined - the last one changes the hand and the cost together.
Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
