Catalogue of Embroidered Bodycon French-Style Arabic Evening Dresses
When a request arrives with كتالوج فساتين سهرة فرنسية مطرز ضيقة in it, the useful first question is not the price. It is which of these attributes the buyer actually intends to sell on.
In production these are embroidered evening dresses in the french-style direction. Embroidery is a placement decision as much as a decoration one: the motif has to centre on the bodice, which means it is graded per size rather than repeated. A bodycon evening dress has negative ease, so the shell's stretch and recovery decide the fit more than the pattern does. Any seam that carries load needs a stretch stitch.
The French reading of an evening dress is quiet: soft structure, a defined waist, and decoration that follows the seam rather than sitting on top of it.
What Has To Be Specified
- Shell: Embroidered, hand and weight approved on a physical swatch - imported evening cloth rarely matches a screen.
- Block: Bodycon bodice, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Colour: name the exact tone and send a swatch. In this category a photo is not a colour reference.
- Bodice structure: say whether the bodice is boned, fused, or soft. This single line decides the fit, the price and the packing.
- Lining: state bodice lining, skirt lining and whether the skirt is bagged out at the hem.
- Closure: name the type and position - invisible zip, lace-up back, or covered button placket.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the fit model. A Gulf 2XL is not a European 2XL.
- Care: dry-clean-only is normal here; if the trim cannot survive solvent, say so before the label is printed.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production
Embroidery is a placement decision as much as a decoration one: the motif has to centre on the bodice, which means it is graded per size rather than repeated.
A bodycon evening dress has negative ease, so the shell's stretch and recovery decide the fit more than the pattern does. Any seam that carries load needs a stretch stitch.
The hem is where a cheap build shows. A 3 cm hem with a clean catch-stitch reads expensive; a 1 cm overlocked hem reads fast fashion.
Two rolls of the same colour name will not match. Buy one lot, keep a roll reference with the order, and cut the whole run from it.
The first sample passes on the form and fails on a body: the waist sits high, the armhole cuts, or the sweep is 4 cm short. Fit on a real model before approving anything.
Options We Can Build To
- Packing: flat-fold with tissue, hanger-ready, or individual sealed bag for glitter and bead styles.
- Closure: invisible zip, exposed zip, corset lace-up or button placket, each with its own sample requirement.
- Beading: hand-applied, machine-guided, or replaced with embroidery at a lower density and a lower price.
- Closure: invisible zip, exposed zip, corset lace-up or button placket, each with its own sample requirement.
Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting, beading and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
