Women's All Season Organza Embroidered African Jumpsuit
When a buyer asks us to develop “women's all season organza embroidered african jumpsuit”, the first conversation is never about price. It is about what the garment has to survive: a wedding season, a church calendar, a two-week festival run, or a shoot with eight hours of wear in it.
In practical terms this is a jumpsuit in lace embroidery built for women, scheduled against all-season programmes. Lace is judged on the ground rather than on the pattern: corded lace holds a bodice, soft French lace drapes, and the embroidery edge dictates where the hem can actually finish. A jumpsuit is a fit problem before it is a style problem: torso length, crotch depth and rise all have to be right at the same time, and each of them grades differently.
The size run is the first commercial decision: a four-size run sells a test order, a ten-size run sells a container. An all-season programme only holds together if the shell is a stable, repeatable base cloth rather than a seasonal novelty.
What Has To Be Specified
- Shell: lace embroidery, weight and hand approved on a physical swatch, not on a screen.
- Block: jumpsuit, fitted on a real model at the middle size before grading.
- Detail: embroidery across the bodice. Embroidery across the bodice is a placement decision as much as a decoration one: the motif has to be centred on the bust point, which means it is graded, not repeated.
- Colour: name the colourway and give a reference swatch. “African print” is not a colour; a lab dip checked under D65 and TL84 is.
- Lining: state unlined, half-lined or fully lined. This single line changes the hand, the packing and the cost.
- Closure: name the type and the position. “Back zip” is not a specification; “invisible zip, CB, 55 cm, self-fabric guard” is.
- Sizing: give the size run, the grade rule and the target fit model. A four-size test and a ten-size container run are two different projects.
- Trim and hardware: bead, cord, eyelet or feather, with a colour reference and a pull-strength requirement for anything on a children's style.

Where This Style Goes Wrong In Production
Lace is judged on the ground rather than on the pattern: corded lace holds a bodice, soft French lace drapes, and the embroidery edge dictates where the hem can actually finish.
Embroidery across the bodice is a placement decision as much as a decoration one: the motif has to be centred on the bust point, which means it is graded, not repeated.

Grading is where the money disappears. Every detail that is placed by eye on the sample has to be measured on the pattern, or the size run drifts.
Two rolls of the same colour name will not match. Buy one lot, keep a roll reference with the order, and cut the whole run from it.

Options We Can Build To
- Shell swap: the same block in a lighter or heavier version of the base cloth, priced separately.
- Detail variations on the embroidery across the bodice: scaled up, scaled down, or replaced with a plain panel at a lower price point.
- Sizing: a four-size test run, a standard eight-size run, or a graded run to your own spec sheet.
- Lining: unlined, half-lined or fully lined — the last one changes the hand and the cost together.

Pre-production sample approval, in-line inspection during cutting and sewing, and a final AQL inspection before packing, with measurement reports and photos shared before shipment.
